Neo, Neo, Neo! You need to broaden your economic vision. Before you invest a dime, you need to do two things. First, you need to read a couple of books on investing. I recommend Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits by Philip Fisher, one of the greatest ever. After that, read The Money Masters by John Train. Then you've got to set up a small on-line trading account with Datek or one of the others. My Datek trades are cheap, about $10 per. You'll then be equipped to research your target companies and get going. After all, college is not far away, buddy!
