Ike, Oakland is the city about which Gertrude Stein said, "there is no there, there."

Close, but no cigar, MB. Oakland was actually a housing project where Stein grew up. I think it was in Pittsburgh.

Mike,
One of lifes truly great experiences is driving down 98th Ave. from 580 0n the way to the Oakland Stadium/Airport. All the way you pray "Please no red lights!" A unique experience. Love the Bay Area, it was a real sad day when Alameda and Mare Island closed. I really miss going to Napa Valley and the Mitchell Bros. Theatre at Polk and O"Farrell. Fun place. Did you catch Chyna whooping Val Vidus butt the other night? One bad woman(I think).
