Well, riddle me this, Batman-
Why do people "out of the demo"
who can't afford the "luxury" items,
still shell out big bucks
for expensive sneakers and clothes
expensive stereo equipment,
cigarettes,
drugs,
alcohol,
other vices...
buying on credit too.....

I am going to open a can of worms by saying...
Maybe there are alot of people that DO NOT HAVE THE EDUCATION to appreciate what the internet is...

Ignorance will leave people in the dust.
How many people in the US can't read or write?
What will a computer OR internet connection do for them WHATEVER the price?

SI members mainly own stock, so their demos can afford it.

Cable tv is a luxury item. That is why so many people on welfare or who get food stamps have cable tv and vcr's. Ask a few people if they think cable tv is a luxury item. Or a microwave oven. Air conditioning in the car? My parents raised 10 kids without any of these.

Internet use is not near to being a "luxury" item for long, if it still is.

Dr. Zax, it would be quite interesting to know the source for this item from a recent post of yours......

<< 40% of SI members make in excess of $100,000/year.... sounds like luxury demographics to me. >>
