Dave,

Don't you know that pc's are dead? Aren't you glad RMBS will be in all those peripheral type gadgets?

Interesting day today, huh?

I think the biggest fallacy in many of the Shorts arguments is that they seem to think that someone said that all of this is supposed to happen TODAY!

Dave,

You're preaching to the choir here.

I think this reflects on the short's basic nature. Just about every position they take is always short term. I haven't seen very many long term shorts. <gg>

To me the most important announcement was the one on Timna. Some say Timna may never come to pass. That may very well be the case. And I also question whether graphics belong on the processor. But that is different issue.

However what is does tell me is where Intel wants to go with the memory controller - They want it on the processor chip. To do that you need a low pin count. DR DRAM will work. DDR DRAM will not. And PC133 will be a forgotten iteration of SDRAM by then.

Regards,

Jim
