There are storys from just after the ice ages that still exist. These stories can be found and translated from the Abenaki tribes. There is an interesting book called "The DawnLand" It tells this story of a people who were giants, there skin was made like stone, and they had only one eye. These were creatures who ate Humans and devouwered everything within their path. The last known stone person was slayed by an Abenaki whose name means Young Hunter. Along with these stone people were Light skineed, blue eyed fishermen off the coasts of the North east. I believe these fishermen are the Vikings from long before European settlements were established in Masachusetts. Depending on the timeframe you are speaking of it would be hard for me to say. The Wabanaki Nation Teaches "Ulnoq nogomah".."we are all related by blood" I have heard many concepts with carbon dating native burials (sitting facing the east) which is common Abenaki practice have been dated back 35,000 years.. No one owns the earth, we belong to her. It is all peoples duty to take care of her, or we will vanish...trees, animals, reptiles, winged ones, plants and humans...Thats all we ask for is to care for our life support system and nothing else..
