McNabb, you ol' Razorback Hog! :)

>. I would rather be long AMZN and short EBAY <

Now that is very disturbing statement in my opinion and I will get blasted for this by the longs, but why would you want to be long an internet company that is losing money and short one that is making money

To explain why, I searched in vain for an article written by Stewart Alsop, the PC guru, a couple of months ago, that is in one of these threads.
Here's the gist of it:
It described his experience selling an old Sony CD player on EBAY. Cost him $250 bucks new and some clown bid 180 for it! He was thrilled with the price, but his surprise came when he was billed for the ad insertion (about 10 bucks) and the commission (about 12 bucks). The amount was fine, but to his surprise, they came in two manually prepared invoices that were stuffed and mailed. He had to manually write out a check to mail back to some place in Dallas. Said it seemed like the company (which has very few employees) wasn't geared up to handle their work. Nor did they have the technology to support it. He could not pay on line by credit card to an on line ecommerce company!
The next day, I was relating the story to a friend, and he said that he had been on Amazon's site looking for a book on World War I, and when the search results came back, there was a line that said "Tim, you might want to check out these World War I memorabilia items at our auction site." That's impressive. They will win

Ebay's run by some gal that's had 10 different jobs in the last ten years including being in charge of "Mr Potato Head" for a toy company.
