That wasn't hard was it?
Condescension is extremely unbecoming garb for angelic beings.

And you would remove those children forever from your love and from all knowledge of you? For eternity. The children to whom you gave life?
Now THAT's tough love.

If it wasn't hard - that really is frightening.

A bit of bad verse for you:

My God is a mirthful God
I fear that yours is woeful.
For while yours frowns and counts our sins -
I've faith that mine is ROFL!

Hi aa,

I have been away from the thread for a while. I see you have become a prolific poster here lately. I just wanted to make a few comments for your consideration. The problems start when someone decides when they can be the judge of who the good or bad children are. After all, if a murderer can receive forgiveness at the 11th hour how can anyone judge the murderer as deserving to be cast out into the outer darkness in the 10th hour? God is the only righteous judge, no one else can do that for Him. He has even warned us not to. "Vengence is mine, I will repay." He has not finished with the work He is doing here on earth.

I believe that many so called Christians will be weeping and gnashing their teeth after the judgement. I would rather deal out mercy so I can receive mercy, as the word says. I pray I don't fall into the "judgement trap" that has overcome a good portion of the church today. The church in the USA has fallen for the temptation to judge others. It's a very serious thing, judging. And Paul wrote that it was to be done very sparingly. And to the church alone, not the unsaved. Why would we judge the unsaved. It's none of our business. Paul preached Christ crucified, not the law of works. But today christians point the finger at the unsaved as if they were obligated to keep some law of christian conduct. They are under no such obligation. Many people here are christians, but some aren't. They are not the "fundementalist" variety like those that hang out on Ask God. They are also nicer than many so called christians I've known. And they act towards others more like God wants than many fundamentalists. Love your neighbor as yourself? On "feelings" I see more of that than on Ask God where the christians back bite each other and the unsaved alike. At least they are no respecter of persons! LOL. They are getting at least one thing right!!

SR

That might not be hard for you, but it would be impossible for me. And the ironic thing about Christianity is that really horrible people can "get religion" and be saved- people who have murdered, people who have abused children, people who have REALLY REALLY been awful. And yet, if they get the spirit the awful people get to go to heaven whilst other people, who have been kind, and good, and treated others with respect get a ticket to Hell. It really is a funny old afterlife you believe in.

Me, I believe in nothing. I sure hope your God doesn't exist because your God is a spiteful nasty God. I wouldn't mind if the Budhists are right, or the Hindus- I don't like the Muslims God and I don't know enough about the Jewish God. I get pulled into heaven already by my one relative that is Mormon (I think) but I don't really want to go. I think it is most likely that we live on after death only in the memories of others and in the works we have done here on earth. Perhaps we leave traces of unique energy patterns, but I don't think that will give us a meaningful kind of permanent existence.

I do not, however, hop from thread to thread trying to convert people to my system. And I hope you hop away soon. Everyone here has been exposed to your religion- and I suspect none of us wants further exposure, but I certainly do not. If I wanted to hear the kind of clap trap you spew I would know where to go to get it.
