Do you think the court ruling allowing ISPs access to cable infrastructure effectively ends ATHM's monopoly ? After all AOL and YHOO's content is far superior to ATHMs. The only reason ATHM had the kind of valuations it did was because of its exclusive agreement with the biggest cable TV service providers. Without this exclusivity ATHM has to be valued as a regular ISP except instead of dial up media they do it over cable. Incidentally I think internet access over cable is going to be huge but I am not sure about ATHM though. I think BRCM is going to be a big winner. I am not too sure about TERN as they use a proprietary technology whereas the world is moving towards DOCSIS compliancy. Anindo
