I think I remember seeing the double post bug sometime last year, so maybe some old code was put back in the system accidently. No way for us outsiders to know if it's connected to the re-launch.

It seems like SI has been rather quiet on the re-launch details. Like when and what do we gain and (shudder) what do we lose. Will Browsemaster still work or will they give us something else to do what Browsemaster does?

Maybe they are trying to fix this bug they had... if you post and then post again, on the same thread (to a different post but also to yourself), the second post wipes out the first. Well that problem existed for a while, it seems related to caching and the 15 minute window.
