PC Prices Stabilizing - Lets hope the analysts are paying attention.

I am not sure if the thread has noticed, but E-machines and others have stopped lowering their prices. I believe that Dell pricing is in-line with competition. However, I believe that Dell is making a profit at these prices due their buying power. Sooner or later we will reach the bottom of pricing for PC's. The raw material used to make the PC has a bottom cost and if inflation is a reality, the prices will rise.

I can tell you one thing for sure. If any of the super low cost and low margin computer manufactures has a quarter or two of decreasing sales. They will be out of business so fast you will not be able to blink. If any of you have owned a business or have studied business you know what happens when this occurs. As sales continue to rise you have no problem paying for your increasing supply bills, but as sales decrease your cash flow goes negative and you can't pay your bills and you are out of business. Dell's made to order stops this problem, because they don't make the computer unless it is sold.
