So then let's take the absolute minimum you could have possibly started with. If you got 100 shares of UBID for $15 that would be $1500 and would have had to sell it right at the end of 1998 and it would have been your only position otherwise the 1500 couldn't be used as a starting point. Now 1500 times 8700% = 130,500. quite a nice gain. Is that what you now have? Have you accounted for taxes? You would have already had to pay about $3500 for last year's gain. You make me want to YAK
