Hi Marvin - If MOT and SUNW were going to sign a JAVAPHONE API licensing agreement, why wouldn't they just announce it today at the close. If you noticed all the other announcements made today by SUNW (I posted a few), a MOT and SUNW JAVAPHONE API agreement is not that big a deal.

I think the announcement is much larger and may involve some sizable orders. Perhaps it could be as big a deal as the AOL, Netscape and SUNW deal.

We will see tomorrow.

Speculation from the Motley Fool Board....

Subject: Re: SUNW & MOT joint announcement
Date: 6/8/99 7:07 PM

"...just a wild guess but it may have something to do with
"Java Phone" since Motorola makes phones. Likely SUNW and
MOT are teaming up to bring the world the web over their portable
phones and likely other devices as well. We all knew it was
coming. I would think that this should move the stock tomorrow.
Also I heard that SUNW's CEO and the MOT CEO are going to
appear on CNBC Squawk Box at 8 tomorrow a.m. so they should
be letting the cat out of the bag then. Can't wait to hear what they
have cooked up...."
