From what I understand, Rydex Arktos essentially shorts QQQ. If QQQ goes down, Rydex Arktos will go up.

QQQ has gone up much more and is much more richly valued than UTEK. Because of this, it's my guess that QQQ will drop much farther and faster than UTEK in a bear market. Thus, IMO, Rydex Arktos will go up more than UTEK will go down. Because of this, you may be able to "hedge" $4,000 worth of UTEK by buying maybe $3,000 worth of Rydex Arktos.
