Thx for your thoughtful response. Good to know there's a helpful nite-owl out there. Though I am more nervous now of the value of my 20-30 year government strip bonds that had yield of 8.5 - 9.25 - have seen steady appreciation over last year and a half - some over 100% with no long term risk (Canada- RRSP similar to 401K so holding 9% not bad). Guess my capital gains will shrink a bit when next statement arrives. Regards and good luck.
