"XAU is holding up extremely well. I wonder why that is? Hummm">>
I've been looking at this also.
What I wanted to bring out are the funny under-currents in pricing of some gold producer's shares(both XAU & non-XAU members) over the last couple of days.
funny things are:
1) BGO & HM flat, HM under solid volume HM only slightly hedged
2) FCX up (have not looked into their forward sold/hedged positions)
3) ECO flat (I'm giving that one up to silver exposure)
4) ABX down (heavy forward sold position)
5) NEM down no forward sold position but heavily owned by Soros who plays every other kind of leverage hard.

Hutch,,
Thank for your analysis and reference. It is quite interesting. While every one is waiting for BOE to sell that 20 ton of gold, we see very few buyers willing to pay now afraid of sudden loss when BOE make the announcement. I think all of the weakness is build into the POG already. POG should move higher when the announcement comes. Good luck.

Sincerely,
Wade
