Well thats a very confusing article. It says that BLS is thinking about buying Qwest then in the same line says they can only buy 10% of Qwest. Do they mean that they are thinking about buying out Qwest if the laws are changed? Is this necessary? I read on one of the other boards that there is nothing illegal about a Bell buying out a LDC company now but they simply cannot offer the long distance service as part of the Bell package and must treat the owned LDC as an independent company. Is this true?
