What creditable study provided the 80 percent figure for Mr. Whyman? Don't people use bookmarks and/or favorites? Remember, the number one portal is AOL. When you use that, you are probably not sophisticated enough to know what a browser is and you are somewhat captured. I haven't seen a study either, but the number could be right. On the other side of the coin, a whopping 20% of us don't use the portal as a navigating tool. That number will rise quickly as AOL users take off their training wheels.
