Because people failed the part of the driving test that asks you to identify the signs by shape and color? LOL! But most signs are not as easy to spot as the STOP sign.<ggg> And "OUEST" sounds alot like "EST"... oh the stories I can tell you about that one, especially with those one way streets in Quebec. I understand your point though, we have spent oodles of dollars converting the signs to be unilingual in other provinces so it's only fair that Quebec do the same... especially if they don't want to get run over by crazy Americans!
