Carl,

The revision downward was due to much lower output than originally estimated. Thus the economy is not as strong as was previously thought; and the danger of inflation is much less in the eyes of the bond ghouls.

I agree fully with your sentiment that more output at less cost is a wonderful thing from almost every perspective with the one exception of that perverted perspective perceived by the bond (word beginning with "P" and rhyming with "RICKS". <VBG>).
