GLMC call from RNWK big step. It will be interesting to see what kind of web browser RNWK will develop for Global. Interesting in that it was Real Networks who contacted Global when Global first announced it's broadcasting and licensee strategy last year. Global is correct in targeting broadcasting for it's licensee program, and RNWK shares the sentiment. E-commerce will evolve and the technologies associated with it will evolve, and mergers and acquisitions will constantly be the norm. One constant, however, will be that entertainment companies will be best at selling entertainment products, and broadcasting companies in general, radio and television, will be the best at selling any product. Bricks and mortar companies will likely never generate much sales from entertainment products, especially as the volume of licensees builds up (dilution), whether connected to Global or any other company. However, I would think that in time, these companies will best be served associating themselves with a company with good connections in broadcasting, a better marketing situation for them to sell their own products. RNWK did GLMC a favor by helping their strategy along, and GLMC will return the favor by using it's media connections and it's partnership with Astral Communications to market products using RNWK software.
