What are pros/cons of tracking stock vs. selling minority interest which e.g. CBS has done with MarketWatch and other companies? Does anyone know the legal setup of a tracking stock? Voting rights and how intercompany accounts are handled such as advertising? My gut is that this benefits just lawyers and accountants and keeps more people on the payroll. (Hey I can recognize it even if I am one.)
