SUNNYVALE, Calif. - April 13, 1999 - Infoseek Corporation (Nasdaq: SEEK), home
of GO Network (www.go.com), today announced an exclusive, three-year agreement
with drkoop.com, the leading Internet consumer health network led by former U.S.
Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop. The agreement, which provides a potential
revenue opportunity of more than $57 million and is contingent on certain financing
efforts by drkoop.com, will give users across multiple sites in the GO Network
reliable health information, news, shopping opportunities and interactive services.
With content and links at Go.com, ABCNEWS.com, ESPN.com, and Family.com,
GO Network users will benefit, beginning at the end of May 1999, from the decades
of medical experience represented by the drkoop.com site.

"Health and medicine are areas where the Internet offers people a tremendous level
of empowerment. By establishing this deep partnership with drkoop.com, GO
Network provides our users with trusted information and resources that enable GO
Network users to be more self-reliant," said Patrick Naughton, executive vice
president of products at Infoseek.

drkoop.com's comprehensive suite of personal health resources will be available on
four sites within the GO Network. dr.koop.com will be the exclusive health content
provider at the Go.com Health Center, the ESPN.com Training Room, and at
Family.com. In addition, drkoop.com will be the premier pharmacy at GO Shop, GO
Network's online shopping center, and the exclusive pharmacy at the GO Health
Center. drkoop.com will provide health insurance solutions and provide opportunities
for users to enroll in clinical trials from within GO Health. ABCNEWS.com will
welcome drkoop.com as a premier health content provider.

This integration across the GO Network makes reliable health information easier
than ever to access. Through the GO Network Health Center, and other sites in the
GO Network, drkoop.com offers GO Network users features on current developments
in the health field; health news and tips for users at any stage in life; an interactive
drugstore and insurance center where users can purchase right online; and a
