<<If Kumar is right about Compaq, the $#!% is going to hit the fan in the near future. >>

LoD: I think Kumar may be right about CPQ....IMO, its a dangerous stock to own...the company is ready to set new 52-week lows....they are a ship without a rudder and have a flawed business model....top talent that may want to join will look under the hood and get very discouraged....channel conflict is a BIG problem....DELL is inflicting massive pain and continues to profitably take share from CPQ....I think Kumar and WB Michaels are right...CPQ could easily go to the teens.

One of my relatives wanted a hardware stock and some broker was steering them into CPQ -- for valuation reasons. Good thing I intervened. They bought DELL...!!

Don't bet against MSD.

Best Regards,

Scott

Yet, all-the-while, CPQ heads closer to extinction.
I have a hard time understanding why a company which is currently debt-free, sitting on $4B in cash and is #1 in most of the markets it sells into is "close to extinction" - or is that just wishful thinking?

I suppose in geologic terms, humanity itself is "close to extinction" - but I'm not planning on changing my will just yet.
