Aljorma, I am dreamin' of the day when I will have my little handheld device with AOL isp/wireless cable modem providing streamin media info from SI thread ( that's you & co gg ), with DBC real time quotes and charting, slung on my belt pouch, allowing me to interrupt work every so often and check on AOL's climb in price; check email, use it as a cell phone; ideally I would like to be able to dictate on it and have on the other side of belt a little portable printer that can print patient progress notes I dictate on the handheld as I make hospital rounds which I can paste in the chart. The patient's lab data will be instantly stored in the handheld as soon as they come out in the hospital's main server and posted through AOL/Compuserve application interface to my handheld My data can then be instantly wired to Insurances, Visiting nurse's handheld for instant action.

I will call "Tunica's cyberspace office ".

All that of course has eliminated at least 4 people thus contributing to keeping employment and interest rates within A Greenspan's wishes.

The only sad thing about this is that by the time that happens AOL's stock will be so high that I will be forced to retire early,

Vendit, glowing in the fire is AOL's branding iron ready for such opportunities as
this SUN,MOT. AOL will have a lot to offer their subscribers. They will be the
beneficiary of every advance made in the the Internet. Even the unlikely ones.
A bit presumptuous? Maybe, but this is my opinion.

I agree with you. AOL is primed for an alliance that will capitalize on the wireless cellular scene and in turn feed its AOL anywhere strategy. In fact, one synergistic mix that could catapult AOL here and abroad is ATI/VOD. My understanding, correct me if I am wrong, is that the European phone wire infrastructure is antiquated, and telephone service is expensive and slow, all of which has resulted in the popularity of cellular phones which improve on cost and speed.
