There is HUGE cap-ex to go from 200 to 300mm wafers. I find 30% savings hard to believe, at least from the get-go. The "process" learning curve also is not what would be considered a "no-brainier"
either. Maintaining a uniform thickness at various process levels, across 300mm? It will be done at some point soon.

Mohan, sounds like great news for the semi companys, and their chip users. Assuming they pass the cost savings along to their customers. Wonder when the switch will be made?
