Lorraine--The truly interesting figures from my perspective are these:

..........................Current......Revised
..........................Quantity.....Quantity
Palladium ...........Tr Oz..0...150,000 1/
Platinum .............Tr Oz..0...100,000 1/
Platinum-Iridium..Tr Oz..0.......4,450

I find the notation, 1/ Actual quantity will be limited to remaining sales authority or inventory, somewhat confusing.

This could lead me to believe that they're concerned these metals won't be available from abroad. Are they concerned that the Norlisk mining situation in Russia will get worse (if that's possible) than it is now or that y2k disruptions will slow the flow of Pd and Pt imports? Hmmm...

See: pathfinder.com

Other than Russia (and I believe South Africa) the only other large scale producer of these metal is the U.S. and our mine can't alone can't fill demand.

I will need to run this by my metals buddies.
