The QM boundaries are quite a few years away at the present rate of growth. Consumer need (the lack of growth of it, that is) at the non-professional domain is a more serious threat IMO. But I posit that the coming will be an age of mega servers and performance will be very important for VLDBs for example (though less important than bandwidth IMO).

May it just be that the low end is not meat, potato and gravy any more?
