ShowStoppers Signs Media Cosponsors for PC Expo Press Reception

Note reference to Revnet...

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1999--ShowStoppers, the premier media reception at Comdex and PC Expo, today announced it has signed four highly respected media organizations as co-sponsors for the special event to be held June 23 from 6-9 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

The media sponsors are Business Wire, Marketing with Honors, New York Software News and Press Access

Each media sponsor provides marketing support for ShowStoppers, a gala reception and mini-tradeshow for reporters, editors, columnists and analysts who want to see the hottest products from the coolest hardware, software and Internet companies.

''The addition of these well respected media companies is a ringing endorsement for ShowStoppers and our philosophy of doing business,'' said co-producers Steven J. Leon and Daniel Janal. ''It is hard and getting harder to meet the press on the busy floor of large tradeshows and conventions, so we created ShowStoppers more than five years ago to help bring great products to the attention of great reporters.''

Hardware, software and Internet companies that will introduce new products at ShowStoppers include Intel (Nasdaq:INTC - news), Dragon Systems and Franklin, as well as Belkin, Copernic, Dataviz, Docent Enterprise Learning Solutions, Infotonic, Intelliquis, Macmillan Computer Publishing, NETsilicon, Number Nine Visual Technology (Nasdaq:NINE - news), Paragon Software, photohighway.com, Revnet, Sage USA and V Communications:

Exhibit space for additional sponsors is still available. Call Daniel Janal, 925-648-1961, dan@janal.com or Steven Leon, 310-670-5606, sleon@technopolis.com.

Reporters can register by visiting the website: showstoppers.com

ShowStoppers sponsors and exhibitors do not need to attend PC Expo. ShowStoppers is independent of but held in conjunction with PC Expo, after the show floor closes.

Exhibiting sponsors display and demonstrate their hardware, software and Internet products on six-foot draped tables -- or sit and converse with reporters at a cocktail table. Unlike a conventional tradeshow, ShowStoppers offers vendors and reporters a relaxed cocktail-party like atmosphere to get acquainted, build relationships and partake of great food and drink.
