Dell Offers Free Internet Access in Europe - 1:35 PM EST - TK
In a stunning announcement, Dell said they will begin offering free unlimited Internet access in Europe. I wouldn't count on this happening in the states; the company is probably using this as a promotional vehicle to cross-sell Dell computers.

Sending ripples through the ISP market, Dell Computer Corp. Tuesday announced that it is offering free, unlimited Internet access in Europe. In a statement from Dell's (Nasdaq:DELL) Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) unit, the company outlined plans for DellNet, which goes live Tuesday in the United Kingdom, and will soon follow in France and Germany. The company also plans on rolling out service "in other European countries during this year," said the company. The statement made no mention of a free-access foray into the United States. - ZDnet
