A couple of issues on Volume/float/reversals that I have considered while developing an approach

1)When does one start to "count" or accumulate volume.. starting point?

2)In "well established" issues... does one need to compensate for "tight" holds of institutions (presuming that 5% holding institutions will sit and control a large portion of "non active" volume... thus affecting the liquid supply/demand calculation)

3)Does one wait for 1 or 2 float turns before an expected move ... 2x somewhat suggesting that the entire float has changed hands (buys = sells).... In my studies I have seen it move and NOT move

4) How do these studies account for shorts?

these are a few that I have been dealing with.... any commentary would be appreciated..
