I still have yet to hear anyone really demonstrate which laws Microsoft has broken. Other than the "Be kind to others" one that I remember vaguely from pre-school. Being nasty, crafty, devious, greedy, power-leveraging are all bad behavior on the playground, but not in business. Could MSFT give us better upgrades etc. for cheaper prices, of course. But I have to tell you, one of the best features about MSFT software is that it generally WORKS. Does it change our lives for the better to the degree that they advertise. Of course not. Neither do my Nikes make me run like the wind and dunk on anyone. Leveraging your power and being nasty are corporate prerogatives which will be used against MSFT in the same manner by any other company the minute that they are able to....IMHO

The fact that you (like most) consider SmartSuite crap compared to Office exemplifies how few know of a side by side compare.

jack, you just drove a truck through the hole in your argument. "most consider SmartSuite crap" "few know of a side by side compare". So...the obvious: most people don't know anything about SmarSuite. Most people know how to say "Microsoft Office, please". So why should a store invest in software inventory that nobody fricking knows anything about? This is not a conspiracy. This is poor marketing.

sheesh...
