Belgrade joke: Clinton next president Updated 5:33 PM ET June 9, 1999 BELGRADE, June 9 (UPI) The latest joke circulating around Belgrade amid news of the impending end of the war concerns the next president of Yugoslavia.

As told to UPI by a Yugoslav Cabinet minister today, the joke goes like this: A poll was taken about who the next president of Yugoslavia will be. Ninety-nine percent of those surveyed said Bill Clinton, for these four reasons: 1) He drove the Albanians out of Kosovo. 2) He united all the Serbs. 3) He destroyed all the factories that were losing money. 4) He modernized the Yugoslav army, since they've lost everything and will have to replace it.
