Cabletron May Be Bought by Siemens for $4 Billion, Dorfman Says
Rochester, New Hampshire, June 9 (Bloomberg) -- Cabletron Systems Inc. may be bought by German electronics company Siemens AG for between $22 and $26 a share, or about $4 billion, Dan Dorfman said in his column on JagNotes.com column. Cabletron manufactures, installs and supports computer products. Siemens and Cabletron declined to comment, Dorfman said.

Last week, Cabletron Systems Chief Executive Craig Benson resigned from the No. 4 computer-networking company and said Piyush Patel will replace him, after a two-thirds plunge in the company's share price during the past two years.
