LLcoolg, I basically agree with you. The Oregon ruling is fairly irrelevant in the long run. This issue is going to be decided on a national basis. As I better understand the ruling, it is clear that local courts are not going to have the authority to determine cable control. I think at the national level, AOL and others will be given some access to cable lines. This is not a given though, because antitrust laws are extremely complex. T has more clout on the hill than AOL (Armstrong has a lot more cronies than Case).

AOL is still a great company, but the 400% a year days are over(I still think 100%year is possible). I see GE as the ultimate benchmark. I cosnsider it the best company in the world. They sell some product to just about every human being on Earth. Although they have more bricks and mortar than AOL, I cannot fathom an AOL valuation equivalent to GE. Currently, AOL is worth 1/3 of GE.

Good afternoon LLCoolG! Just a few Cool quotes...

From your current post - < I have owned AOL for about 2 years. I will
not sell my AOL stock. >

From one of your posts (#3166) May 10th on the RNWK thread -
< Based on outside interests, I had to sell some stock this month to
raise some funds. I had been planning on selling some RNWK, however,
I chose to sell on the AOL run today. For whatever that is* worth, I
sold AOL and a few other stocks instead of RNWK. I think that when
people realize how much of this new market that RNWK owns, and how big
this market really is, that we will continue to rise at a nice clip
from 250. >

For the record:
May 10th AOL= 128.3125 June 9th=111.0000 - 13.5%
May 10th RNWK= 94.3750 June 9th= 68.5000 - 27.4% (Post split)

Disclaimer: This is a snapshot.
