Have done that and decided to buy much lower than here. Agreed it will come back somewhat but our grandchildren may not live long enough to see the old highs

Are you making this judgment on emotion alone or on key financial ratios (e.g., PEG, PTB, etc.)??

Even adding another 1/3 at a lower price than here I do not expect to see that combined with my current at 38+ close to breaking even in years. And for a lot of the reasons you mentioned.

Talk about a grim vision of the future! Maybe you need a vacation from CPQ - seriously! As the saying goes, "a watched pot doesn't boil." Try and give the thread a break for a week or two and concentrate on something else. If CPQ is in the teens when you return, seize the opportunity and average down. If it is the same or higher, breathe out again. ;-)

Warning! Shameless promotion alert! NY Regional Rail (NYRR - OTC-BB), operator of the Cross Harbor railroad line ("New York City's Direct Rail Service"). Stock was recently mentioned in Barron's and has gone from a dime to $1+ in less than a year. Hard to value but definitely poised for growth given the CSX - Norfolk Southern purchase of Conrail and new contracts and equipment to move freight into and through the NYC metropolitan area. Check out their (somewhat primitive) website at nyrr.com

BTW - You used a much-despised but (until now) happily buried nickname. I was last called Andy in HS so thanks but no thanks for trying to be "friendly".
