Howdy Everyone.

I don't have too much more to add from what Greg has already posted, since he beat me to the punch. But I do have the questions that were posted to me, and a couple of answers:

Hi Jack:
I guess my questions are as follows.
1) NBASE / Xyplex - With a switch for Linux is one in development for Windows 2000? I'd think there will be a much larger market for W2000 by the end of the year.
2) Charlottes Web - When is the company anticipating releasing press information on the Terabyte switch and when is it slated to go on sale.
Thanks in advance. My concern is without a lot of hype to get the momentum going on the product it will lose out to competitors and thus the stock will continue to drift lower.
Tim

1) Well Tim, I'm not really sure how to answer the first question. I did not talk to anyone who was very familiar with the Linux Router, but my take on it is this. It does not matter what the OS is for a router, as long as it is a good, multiuser, very well developed open environment - which is exactly what linux is. Windows machines of any variety will still be able to work with it, but windows is pretty slow as compared to unix for the functions related to networking. Someone else who knows more about the product can probably explain it a lot better to both of us.

2) According to the folks in the CW booth, a PR is due this week or next. The product will be shipping beta in 4Q99, production 1Q2000.

jack.....A question for me please.......How many patents have been filed over the last 12 months and how many have been approved.....And what is normally the waiting period for approvals or denials.......And is MRVC looking towards royalty income from any of the patents.....THANKS ...cmg

The guys I talked to did not know just how many patents any one of the divisions, or the whole family in total had applied for. He said it was a bunch, and he will try to answer this and get back to me. He said it took a long time to get approval, but feels confident they will have income from the inventions of Schlomo and Near.

Jack, could you try & get the names of anyone involved w/the NAC or Charlottes Web projects. So far I only know of Near (& his wife)who are at NAC, & nobody at Charlottes. Of course 'scooping' who will be beta testing the NAC products this summer would be cool.
Beat 'em up guys.
Regis

We met the three sales guys in the booth. They asked not to reprint their names. But someone from one of the other divisions is going to look up for me, the number of employees and the such, and get back to me with printable information.

That's it from the show. We were able to pick up very little literature. Almost every vendor handed out a piece that was the size of an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of notebook paper that was folded in half.
Then they ran our badges thru an electronic card reader. Just my luck, my badge did not work, so Greg will receive most of the literature that we are working on for the spread sheet. I was able to sit down with a couple of vendors, and get some of the questions answered.

Ron, should I send this stuff to you? Or would it be better for me to wait until Sector gets back from China?

Jack
