Commodities - Gold battered through $260 support

<< ''There's been a couple of major players who have been selling it all the way down. There have been the usual rumours flying around of central bank selling, but that makes me think someone's talking their book,'' said one London dealer in reference to U.S.-based houses.

Miners and consumers were standing clear of what has been a one-way street since May 7, the day Britain announced it would slash reserves by 415 tonnes to 300 tonnes via sales conducted over several years.

''I cannot get any of the mines I usually talk to on the phone. Everyone's so surprised that we have got down here on the basis of such a small amount of metal,'' the dealer added. >>

> Would you mind sharing what it is you are winning at. And I don't mean Rambus if the markets and paper money crash what will you win. You will lose just like all of us.

Since I am a swing trader, I don't normally hold any stock too long.. Helps me sleep better at night. But I often trade and profit from moves both long and short in Sun Micro, Applied Materials, Apple, Cisco Systems and of course Rambus..

All I have ever tried to express that Gold is a losing investment and SOME high tech companies have a much more Golden future.
