As of last October,

two unnamed Fortune 500 companies were evaluating EpiWorks' products (not sure if that means epi wafers, or includes circuits as well) for use in wireless communications. In their Oct 31 release they say "EpiWorks is pursuing financing to build a multi-million dollar high-volume production facility." Until they do that, it's still a start-up. I just posted the link for future reference.

Once they get rolling, they might be potential competition for Kopin's next-generation InGaP wafers.

Kopin describes their commercialization of the carbon doping process (for the base layer of their HBT wafers) as an important advance. If Stillman pioneered that, he obviously knows what he's doing on the technical end of the business. The company has strong ties to the University of Illinois, where Stillman leads the Semiconductor Research Group:
