CMTL ADDS MEMORY MODULE PCB CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Jun 9, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
CMTL(SM) (Computer Memory Test Labs) announced today that it is has
initiated a new certification program that will service memory module
PCB (printed circuit board) vendors andcustomers.

"As memory technology advances from PC100 to PC133 to DDR and then to
Rambus, memory bus speeds are increasing dramatically. This has caused
the PCB to become the most critical and inconsistent component of a
memory module. In order to insure continued memory module reliability
and performance, the CMTL PCB certification program was created. It was
a natural and needed extension to the CMTL memory module certification
program that was started over a year ago with Intel Corporation. As
with the CMTL memory module certification program, CMTL PCB
certification will help insure that memory module vendors and module
customers get what they pay for on a continued basis," said John
Deters, President, CMTL.

The certification program involves various PCB tests including
cross-sections and plating thickness verification. The program will
include both the PCB vendor and customer periodically sending boards to
CMTL fortest and verification. Like the CMTL memory module
certification program, aSilver or Gold rating will be issued. Certified
PCB's will have the CMTL logo etched into the board and have the part
number listed on the CMTL website.

Computer Memory Test Labs is a leading independent memory module
testing laboratory that performs motherboard compatibility testing and
certification for memory module vendors in the computer industry.
Memory module vendors that have CMTL Gold certified products include:

Advantage Memory, All Components, Celestica, Centon, Corsair,
Dane-Elec, Dataram, DensePac, Dynamem, H.Co., Hyundai, Integritech,
Interworks, Kentron, Kingston, Legend, Memory&Testing, Memory Time,
Micron, Peripheral Enhancements, PNY, Questec, Silicon Technology,
Simple Technology, Smart Modular Technologies, Southland Micro Systems,
StakTek, Tanisys, Toshiba, Unigen, Viking Components, Vital Technology
and Wintec.

With over 350 certifications issued, the CMTL program is becoming an
industry standard for memory module/motherboard compatibility testing.
Memory modules that pass the CMTL Gold certification on Intel servers
and workstations, are recognized and listed on Intel's support website
as "Advanced Qualified"
