Call me crazy, Alok, but the story just as you told it is very close to becoming the conventional wisdom: rates going up, stocks & bonds going down, no-win scenarios for investors, etc. My broker just told me he's discouraging new money from going into the market until after "it" happens...whatever "it" is. This is a guy who encourages trades for a living. I swear it's true.

And of course you can always go read the threads where the various Big Kahuna Super Friends hang out...they're like the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists: it's always 3 seconds to midnight, the market's always going to crash next Tuesday, this market simply cannot continue to violate the laws of nature, etc.

And then there's always Y2K.

I say it all adds up to a super kahuna bottom and a super kahuna melt-up! I'm buying. With all of it. At market. Tomorrow at the open. <ggg>
