I just didn't understand the connection between identifying species and longitude and latitude, other than mapping stands... A couple months ago I was on a TVA lake that had been drawn down drastically and I came across a couple maples that had been underwater for the last 40 years or so... I dug into them with a knife about 1/2 inch down was some great looking wood... I'd estimate that they were only under 20 feet of water... I look forward to any response Jacalyn might receive from her email...
