AOL "Aquire On Lows". Low Price or Low Volume, AOL Market Cap is CURRENCY, and only has meaning if the entire company is sold, no one can buy it, however, AOL can use its own stock (Treasury Shares) as CURRENCY to buy up other companies. When a company sees their own stock is undervalued, and they have NET CASH they usually BUY BACK their shares rather than declare a dividend and pay the excess surplus capital to the shareholders as a dividend. This lowers the shares outstanding, and increases the value of the company, or it allows the company to LEVERAGE Acquisitions of other companies with is higher than dollars shares. This is what USAI wanted to do with LCOS but was rebufed after much screaming and yelling from LCOS parent company CMGI, since CMGI did not think a 1 for 3, 3 for 1 share swap was a good thing. Anyway, AOL is positioned to go out and buy companies that produce things like their INTERNET TELEPHONES etc., etc., We built AOL with our cash into a monster that can buy big blue chippers.
I am,
Truly yours,
