Kash, source please. I'm sure the guys in the RMBS thread, as well as myself, would be pleased to know that there's yet another buying opportunity coming up for RMBS stock.

Kash,

What is your estimate of performance difference (at system level) between 800MHz Rambus DRAM, PC100 and PC133 memories when used in conjunction with Coppermine at 600MHz? I am not looking for precision here but a rough wag.
The reason I ask this question is simple. What has Intel to benefit if memory is not a commodity? One thing that would probably tip the scales is if CuMine with PC133 would come close to K7 but that appears unlikely (unless you estimate great performance difference at system level using Camino with PC133)
Intel already covered its bases by hedging Rambus DRAM with PC100. Is it worthwhile for them to further segment the memory market (and increase system prices) if they are driving towards all-RAMBUS world in year 2000 or year 2001?

Chuck

Kash - RE: "RAMBUST"

I like that name! TM KH Yeap from Aces.

Until DRDRAM becomes mainstream, I shall use the name RAMBUST. ;)

(Scary, that looks like something Paul would write!)

If what is at Aces turns out to be true, Intel will look like a fool.
