As one that has spend a good bit of time at the cheetah (the cheetah was a 400 level course in animal behavior at the trade school down the street).

In the area of Mill lines deployed this year. I have heard the hottest RBOC is pactel they are deploying roughly 7,000 lines a week.

SBC has changed their deployment effort from "best effort" to "what it takes" (removing load coils and bridge taps). To me that is amazing

BLS has quite a bit of work to do remodeling the DLC cabinets. But they have a drop dead date of the end of year. (which is also amazing ).

AT$T / Media one has put these guys in panic mode

Thanks for the update DR. WSTL is holding up in the 7's. Not to say it might not drift back but, I believe, more likely it'll move upwards. Remember, only a little while ago we were in the sixes.

Nice to hear what's going on and, yes, I do agree (from the street) that 2000 is the year for DSL. It'll start ramping up in the second half of 1999. I'll be getting mine (moving, hopefully, from ISDN) in August. Got too much going on before then.

I'd expect AOL to kick into broadband soon which will really get the ball rolling.

The transformation of WSTL is coming SOON, IMHO.

later, leroyt
