Condor, from your list i agree only with Qwest. the rest should not be competitors/challengers because they are all hardware/software makers, not service providers. i might add Primus, Star, Pacific Gateway Exchange and RSL Comm to the watchlist, but i need to gather more info on them. i might consider these because they are classified as emerging multinational carriers--the same class as IDT which is a new revelation to me during the conference call. of course, ATT is the big one, as blankmind indicated. MCI and Sprint too. however, Sprint seems less threatening because they may be IDT's partner.

competitors:
t and wcom

nspk - yes, because the target the infrastructure, and for voip to flourish, idtc and others must become compatible. plus they have a webphone. but so far alliances are missing and so is the proper infrastructure.

qwst - partners and fiber, but have not entered voip as far as i know. not a comp.

gmgc - why do you see them as comp?

lhsp - i see no product for competition

vocl - yes, they have servers, gateways and clients. but not the deals.

vcsi - no internet product, not a comp

etel - tiny and proprietary, not a comp
