taxman:saw that last night,may be Ballmer wants the analysts to reduce the estimates on MSFT,well you know just in case.Obviosly his pronouncements didn't do much damage to the techs today,hell it didn't even hurt MSFT come to think of it.

I believe they grant options in July. They don't want the stock to run up too much in advance of that -- keeps emps from being under water for any significant period of time.
