I would like to provoke some intelligent discussion on just how significant these latest two deals would be. Personally, i put both of them on the level of the netscape deal , I cannot imagine the impact when word gets out that Sprint is selling internet telephny services and routing all the calls through IDT's net2phone network.

That indeed is the case. If you go to:http://www.net2phone.com/sprintbasics/

and then call the 800 number as if you are going to sign up for service. The rep. will tell you if you ask that this is a resell of IDT's network and net2phone. Is that not HUGE?

The other item of significance is the apparent nationwide deal that net2phone has struck with compaq computor to bundle net2phone in every computor.

How many computors does compaq sell per year? What would say one new net2phone customer at $25 per month add up to if we assume 1 outt of every 10 would?

These sites confirm this is about to happen:

net2phone.com

net2phone.com

net2phone.com

Personally, I think that these latest alliances cement net2phone as the premier telephony providor. Between the new ones, AOL, Softbank, and GE, that's it. The race is over.
