Yeah, it's nice to have them there. We have a little PetCemetary in the woods now. There's two of my sister's dog. Her ancient snouzer that went and one that had to be put down pretty young. He'd bit a kid badly for no reason and with his history that was it. That was very hard but it was the thing to do. They're supposed to cut off the head and send it away for analysis but we'd kept him penned for long enough to know he didn't have rabies before we took him in. The vet was insistant but he was no match for my sis. They were not going to cut off his head, she was taking him home, whole, to bury. And she did.

Brother, the horse, is buried on the edge of the pasture. Dad got out there with the tractor and bucket and dug up a whole big enough and the vet brought him back and helped put him in.
