The spin:

In an effort to expedite the IPO of our State of the Art Internet Telephony product Net2Phone, IDT will be absorbing one time charges. These non-reoccurring charges will pay for the costs associated with the R&D, financial analysis and Marketing of what we believe will be one of the most successful IPO's of the year. We also believe that as a direct result of front loading the costs of Net2Phone into this quarters earnings we will be able to enhance shareholder value sooner rather than later.

i actually believe that because the stock got smoked the last time idtc warned, and again after earnings, they decided to bluff. keep calling the q incredible, and hope everyone bought the party line.

yes, they should have been able to use the warning to an advantage when mentioning spending for ntop and internet expansion. although hj is not eloquent, he could have delivered the message, and more importantly, the press release to investors would have been the more important. clearly large institutions continue to hold.
