Dan,

The article doesn't give a reason for saying plans for fast chips will come to nothing without a buyer.

The reason is that NSM doesn't want to spend money to move South Portland to .18u, since they are planning to sell it anyway. If NSM doesn't make the chips, and nobody buys the designs (with the design team), who would make them?

Hmmm, I wonder what happened all the products announced about 2 quarters ago, due to be delivered 2 quarters from then, in another words, this quarter. We have 20 days left in this quarter.
